Bear Claw Trap is a Trap in Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire. Traps can be placed outside of combat and are triggered when an enemy walks over them. A trap's effectiveness increases with the Mechanics of the user, traps cannot be crafted and can only be purchased or looted. 

Commonly used by hunters across Eora, this simple trap consists of little more than a pressure plate, a spring, and a pair of metal jaws. Despite its name, these traps first came into use among the aristocracy of the old empires, who used them to catch poachers.
