Last Word is a Weapon in Pillars of Eternity 2.
The erls of the Dyrwood mustered many conscripts to combat Waidwen's militant faithful during the Saint's War. Most of these peasant soldiers fought in battle lines equipped with little more than farming implements and improvised armor. A few of the bravest and strongest footmen, however, were selected to serve in the anti-cavalry companies. Outfitted with better armor and long, two-handed hammers, these troops were tasked with supporting Dyrwoodan knights in their battles with the capable Readceran heavy cavalry.This humble war hammer was once the weapon of such a soldier. While in better repair, it could unhorse an armored rider with a single blow to the breastplate, breaking steel and bone. At some point it was cut or smashed in half, likely followed by its wielder. A brief, poorly-spelled message is scratched into the haft.
It reads, "I m Ulstors weapn n ail shut yur muth."
The crude legend served as some sort of charm for the unfortunate Ulstor. Perhaps the magic still has some use left.
Last Word Location/Where to find
- Location: Sandswept Ruins on the island in the south-west corner of the world map.
- Acquisition: Last Word can be looted from an altar of Sandswept Ruins.
Last Word Quality
Players can only upgrade a Unique Weapon's Quality to a higher tier level. Upgrading the Quality only affects the Damage by 15%, Accuracy by 4 points, and Penetration by 1 point.

Last Word Unique Enchantment Upgrades
Enchantments play a vital role in a player's equipment, these Enchantments provide different special effects that can be used as an advantage in battle. Some Unique Weapons carry multiple Enchantments that players may equip and some Unique Weapons only has one Enchantment. These Enchantments can only be found in Unique Items and can be upgraded if needed.
Players can unlock all of the upgrades listed for a Unique Weapon's Enchantment, however, some upgrades replace the current enchantment, and some can be stacked as bonus effects. By doing this, players must have the required ingredients and sufficient Copper Pands (CP) to be able to craft their preferred upgrade.
