Nalpazca is a Subclass of Monk in Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire. Subclasses are a specialization of a main Class, and can be mixed for Multiclassing. The name of the resulting mix will be the same as it would have been for the primary class, regardless of the subclass you have taken.

"The Nalpazca are an order of monks who meditate on the differences between the material world and the perceived world through the use of mind-altering substances. Originating in Ixamitl, the nalpazca are respected in their homelands but often disregarded as fools when traveling abroad. Their extensive dabbling with the boundaries of reality can give others the impression that they are addled or simply insane."

Nalpazca Subclass Information

 Bonus:

• All drug effects last longer. +1 wound and +50% Beneficial effect duration of drugs.
  
  

 Penalty: 

• Crash penalties from drugs cause the monk to be unable to receive healing. -1 Wounds per 3s while not benefiting from drugs.

• Nalpazca Monks gain +100% Duration with Drugs and gain +1 Wound every 3.0 seconds while under the effects. However, they lose -1 Wounds every 3.0 seconds when not, and they get -100% healing received after their Drug ends. This makes them harder to manage than other characters and thus they are not recommended to new players.
• Nalpazca Monks will gain Wounds faster than any Monk in the tank role, rivaling Shattered Pillar for most of any Monk at all.
• Be sure you rest in between combat to wipe out the negative effects from the crash period of Drugs.
• Drugs can give huge benefits in combat, and can make this Subclass extremely powerful.
