Wood Elf is a Subrace in Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire. Elves are one of the civilized races that inhabit Eora. There is great ethnic diversity between Elves in different regions of the world. In Pillars of Eternity two sub-races of Elves appear, namely Wood Elves and Pale Elves.
Wood elves (Sceltrfolc) trace their beginnings far north of present-day Aedyr and have migrated south through the forests and jungles of the continent. Much of their history is connected with the meadow folk (Thyrtan) and they are often found in the same lands. Some historians believe that the wood elves migrated to Eir Glanfath at some point in the past, though Aedyre and Glanfathan elves are wholly different, culturally. They are rarely found outside of Aedyr and the Eastern Reach.

Elves are the second most common race in Dyrwood and heavily populate both the Aedyr-founded colonies and the deep reaches of Eír Glanfath. Elf-dominated cultures are among the least expansive and colonial, the Aedyr being a notable exception. Physically, elves are known for their speed. They tend to be about 10% shorter than humans and slighter of build.

Elves are known for their speed and intelligence as well as their commonly isolationist nature. In Pillars of Eternity 2, elves gain two attribute modifiers: a +1 bonus to Dexterity and a +1 bonus to Perception. As well as a different racial ability for each sub-race.
