Upright Captain's Belt is a unique Belt in Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire. Belts can be equipped in their designated inventory slot and provide different effects.
The Príncipi captain who once wore this belt was not known to be "upright" because of his ethics or moral code. To the contrary, by all accounts he was quite a ruthless fellow. His crew admired their captain's unwillingness to back down from any challenge that came his way. Outgunned and outclassed, he would take the fight to ships larger than his own. He would sail through squalls and storms, standing resolutely at the helm. Always, he held fast. There was no force on Eora that could bend his back or force him to his knees.Of course, it was the captain's obstinacy that led to the inevitable destruction of his ship in a maelstrom. However, a man such as he is remembered for refusing to break, even if he is broken nonetheless.
