Swords in Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire is a weapon category. Swords are one-handed melee weapons, swords may be fashioned with a single-edged or double-edged blade. Swords are usually used to cut down or thrust an enemy, although it lacks the raw slashing capability like a sabre, it has the flexible capability of penetrating a variety of armor.
